Cut Camp is built to keep athletes healthy. Read this before using the app to plan a weight cut.
Not medical advice
Cut Camp is an educational wellness and tracking tool operated by CUTCAMP LLC. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified physician before starting any weight management, nutrition, or training plan.
Recommended limits
- Aim for gradual weight loss of roughly 0.5–1% of body weight per week.
- Avoid extreme dehydration, sauna abuse, laxatives, diuretics, and starvation dieting.
- Allow adequate time to rehydrate and refuel after weigh-in.
- Never use the app to plan a cut for an athlete under 18 without adult and medical supervision.
Warning signs — stop and seek help
- Dizziness, fainting, confusion, or disorientation
- Heart palpitations or chest pain
- Severe cramping, nausea, or vomiting
- Dark urine, inability to urinate, or no sweating
- Any symptom that feels wrong or unfamiliar
If you experience any of these, stop your cut immediately and contact a medical professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Disordered eating
Weight management tools can be harmful for people with a history of disordered eating. If tracking food or weight causes distress, please stop using the app and speak with a healthcare provider.
